Transfer corotron unit (46) has corotron wire (12) and opposing electrode in form of blade (14) with point or raised sections in form of pins. Photoconducting belts (16a,16b) and paper path (48) are fed between the corotron wire and blade without contacting them. Corotron wire has positive potential and blade has negative potential.
