<p>A method for determining the location of a mobile station in a cellular radio communications system having a plurality of base stations, comprising receiving a signal from the mobile station at at least two base stations, obtaining measurements from the at least two base stations of the time of arrival and the direction of arrival with respect to a reference direction of the signal from the mobile station, establishing a new reference direction as a function of the location of the base stations, converting the direction of arrival information to direction of arrival information with respect to the new reference direction, and using the converted data based on the new reference direction to train the neural network and, subsequently to calculate the locations of mobile stations.</p> |
