PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an ink jet head in which a top plate work and a heater board can be secured at correct positions. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing an ink jet head where a top plate member 211 is mounted on a heater board 215 constituting an ink jet head and secured onto the heater board by means of a substantially L-shaped spring 420 secured integrally with the heater board comprises a step for mounting the top plate member on the heater board, a step for vibrating the heater board and the substantially L-shaped spring, a step for pushing up the forward end of the substantially L-shaped spring while vibrating, a step for positioning the top plate member with respect to the heater board, and a step for releasing pushup of the spring and securing the top plate member onto the heater board by means of the spring.
