CATALYST AND METHOD FOR BURNING/REMOVING ORGANIC COMPOUND

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for burning/removing organic compounds by using a catalyst having higher burning/removing capacity at lower temperature while restraining by-products from being generated. SOLUTION: This catalyst for burning/removing organic compounds is obtained by disposing the metal oxide containing at least one of platinum metals in the preceding part and a mixture of the metal oxide containing at least one of platinum metals and zeolite in the succeeding part. The method for burning/removing organic compounds comprises bringing organic compounds into contact with the obtained catalyst to burn/remove them.
