PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curving section structure of an endoscope which is capa ble of lessening the patient's burden by connecting nodal rings 68 and 68 varying in diameters to each other and forming a curving section 22 increasingly finer from the rigid distal end section 24 toward a flexible section 20. SOLUTION: The curving section 22 formed in an insertion section 14 is constituted by connecting the plural nodal rings 68, 68, etc. The respective nodal rings 68 are formed at the radius smaller by a thickness (t) of the nodal rings 68 than the nodal rings 68 adjacent to the front end rigid section 24 side and at the radius larger by (t) than the flexible section 20. As a result, the curving section 20 is formed gradually finer from the front end rigid section 24 toward the flexible section 20.
