PURPOSE: A computer phone is provided to call a telephone at a background screen of a user's computer. CONSTITUTION: A computer phone is composed of a telephone input part(111), a conversion circuit part(112), a telephone circuit part(113), a control part(110), and a network access part(114). The telephone input part(111), comprised of numeric keys, function buttons and a display part, is used when a user makes or receives a telephone call. The conversion circuit part(112) converts an inputted phone number digital signal into a communication signal so as to be transmitted through a telephone communication network or an Internet network. The telephone circuit part(113) is provided with a handset, a transmit-receive circuit, an earphone, an amplifier, etc., like a generic telephone. The control part(110), controlling the operations of the telephone input part(111), the conversion circuit part(112), the telephone circuit part(113), and the network access part(114), splits a communication signal and a data signal from the signal inputted from the network access part(114) and transmits the communication signal to the telephone circuit part(113). The network access part(114) is provided with an interface circuit to connect with communication lines.
