摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for estimating an unknown parameter significant for suitably operating a receiver in a CDMA system. SOLUTION: This method is composed of steps for receiving a signal composed of overlapped signals from multiple channels, constructing an observation sequence estimate for modeling a contributed component from each of channels to the signal from the received signal, constructing an estimate, which depends on a large number of parameters, for modeling the behavior of each of channels from the observation sequence estimate, calculating at least one contributed component, which does not depend on at least one parameter, corresponding to the observation sequence estimate for each of channels, and forming a new estimate, with which the multiple contributed components are the functions of several or all estimates for modeling the action of the other channels, for modeling the action of each of channels by removing the contributed component from the observation sequence from each of contributed components.
