PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diaphragm drive circuit of an electromagnetic diaphragm, which is capable of preventing the heat generation from a coil and simplifying the control signal applied from the outside. SOLUTION: This diaphragm drive circuit has a diaphragm turret drive means, which drives the electromagnetic diaphragm by switching the first voltage necessary for rotationally moving a diaphragm turret from a neutral position to a position inclined at a prescribed angle and the second voltage, which is the voltage lower than the first voltage necessary for holding the diaphragm turret in the inclined position described above. The first voltage is impressed to the electromagnetic diaphragm, during the time after photographing is started before the diaphragm turret rotated and moves to the inclined position from the neutral position, but the second voltage is impressed to the electromagnetic diaphragm after the completion of the operation of the diaphragm turret prior to the end of the photographing period.
