PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL device which is excellent in the reliability of the electric connection of the electrodes of an organic EL element and a wiring board. SOLUTION: The organic EL device has the organic EL element 1, the wiring board 2 for driving this organic EL element 1 and a connector 3 for connecting an extraction electrode 12a of the organic EL element 1 to the electrode 22a for connection of the wiring board 2. The connector 3 has an elastic member 31 consisting of silicone rubber. The extraction electrode 12a and the electrode 22a for connection are electrically connected by a fine metallic wire 32 extending from one end 31a through this elastic member 31 to another end 31b. A buffer material 5 consisting of highly viscous fluid (liquid butyl rubber or the like) is disposed between the elastic member 31 and the extraction electrode 12a as well as the electrode 22a for connection and therefore the fine metallic wire 32 may be prevented from damaging the electrode by vibration or the like. |
