PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a multicolor image whose color fluctuation on a transfer material is minimized by controlling the position of potential fluctuation even when the potential fluctuation exists in a peripheral direction on the respective photoreceptors of plural image forming units. SOLUTION: This image forming device is equipped with the yellow(Y), magenta(M) and cyan(C) image forming units having the a-Si type photoreceptor drum 10. By measuring the potential fluctuation in the peripheral direction on the drum 10 for every color by an electrometer for surface potential at a developing position in the peripheral direction on the drum 10, position information on the potential fluctuation in the peripheral direction is obtained. Based on the position information, the position in the peripheral direction of the drum 10 is adjusted and the position of the potential fluctuation is controlled from relation between a gear flange for driving and rotating the drum 10 and a rotating driving shaft engaged with the gear flange so that the position of the potential fluctuation in the peripheral direction is matched with a transfer position on the transfer material between the drums 10 (the part of the maximum value or the minimum value of the potential of an unexposed part at a developing position in one cycle of the drum 10 is matched with the transfer position on the transfer material). |
