PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector that has no need of storing with the cap removed and that has a simple structure and a low cost. SOLUTION: In the optical connector that has a port for inserting an optical fiber cable housing for the purpose of attaching/detaching an optical fiber cable 10 to/from the connector body 1, the connector body 1 is equipped with a shutter 3 that can be opened out and closed to cover the port 2 for inserting an optical fiber cable housing.
