PURPOSE:To surely record succeeding pages even if recording paper runs short during reception by storing a received picture into a memory while recording it, continuing the recording even the shortage of recording paper and recording non-recorded pages in detecting the setting of new recording paper. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 2 applies the total control by using a reference clock of a crystal oscillator 1. Transmission/reception is applied first as the pre- procedure to process picture information. Then the reception for the post- procedure is performed and whether or not a reception code is a procedure end signal EOP is judged, and when no EOP is received but a multi-page signal MPS is received, the picture information is processed. If no MPS is received either, the pre-processing is restored. In case of the reception of the EOP, the transmission of the post-procedure is applied, the line is released and if a page with a paper shortage flag representing the shortage of recording paper in halfway of the reception exists, the recording paper is awaited for reset and the reset recording paper is subjected to recording as to pages recorded on its halfway and pages with no recording applied.
