<p>The invention relates to an information signal-processing device for applications such as a car stereo. The device comprises functional sections including a tuner (105), a tape deck (106) and a CD drive (107). A tone control (109) adjusts the frequency characteristic of the right and left audio signals L and R output from a switch (108), and a volume control (110) adjusts the volume levels for right and left speakers and the ratio of volume levels. The tone control operates in accordance with a combined control value (Xm+Xs) obtained when a main control value (Xm) adjusted with a frequency characteristic adjustment key is offset by a sub-adjustment value (Xs) of the frequency characteristic provided in a set mode for each functional section. The volume control (110) also operates similarly to adjust the levels. The user adjusts the frequency characteristic in the set mode to establish the sub-adjustment value of each of the functional sections. The volume level is prevented from varying if a different functional section is selected.</p> |
