PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner which is equipped with a unique electric source driving plural motors besides an electric air blower and improved to have the electric source smaller. SOLUTION: This is a circulating electric vacuum cleaner first. In a return passage where exhausted air blows back to an inhalator body from an electric air blower outlet in the vacuum cleaner body, an exhaust valve is attached in order to discharge the exhausted air passing in the return passage. A valve motor which opens and closes the valve and a cleaning body motor 67 which rotates a rotational cleaning body attached at an inhaling opening are driven by a driving electric supply circuit 97 contained in the cleaner's body. By a controlling method 96, the both motors 67 and 79 above cannot be activated simultaneously. It reduces the driving electric supply circuit's load, that is, it characteristically makes the circuit capacity and size smaller.
