PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing material capable of easily and completely blocking up clearance generated between a recessed part of a window frame and an end surface of an opening part of a building in the sealing material used for the clearance generated between a window frame panel of the building such as a house and a side wall opening part. SOLUTION: This sealing material is composed of a flat part with one side swelling in the lengthwise direction and a cross-sectional semicircular or cross- sectional rectangular projecting part having the height higher than about 20 mm, and is stuck to a peripheral end part of an opening of the building by an adhesive applied to the reverse of the flat part. Since a slender film having a surface molded as a smooth surface is stuck to a boundary transferring to a curved surface of the projecting part from a flat surface, the window frame is easily and closely fitted to keep waterproofness (watertightness), airtightness and heat insulating performance.
