PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing which realizes a structure enabling prevention of generation of vibration or abnormal noise from the rolling bearing even when indentations are produced on an inner ring raceway 4 and an outer ring raceway 2. SOLUTION: Nitriding treatment is applied to rolling contact surfaces of some of the rolling elements 6a of a plurality of rolling elements 6 and 6a. Thus the hardness of the selected rolling elements 6a is being set higher than that of each raceway 4 and 2 or other remaining rolling elements 6 and 6a. During operation of the rolling bearing, the rolling elements 6a of higher hardness crush protrusions at peripheries of the indentations while rolling over the indentations, and then prevent the generation of vibration and abnormal noise. |
