PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera equipped with a finder making it possible to confirm the state outside the angle of view of photographing. SOLUTION: This video camera comprises an imaging device 2 which picks up an image of the angle of view wider than the angle of view of photographing, a viewfinder 3 which switches and displays the angle of view made wider than the angle of view of photographing while including the angle of view and the angle of view of photography, and a switching device 4 which selects the angle of view wider than the angle of view of photography or the angle of view of photographing with the video signal from the viewfinder 3 and sends it to the viewfinder 3. Thus, the display of the viewfinder 3 is optionally switched by the switching device 4 between the angle of view of photographing and the larger angle of view. The angle of view of photographing is clearly displayed with a frame and then it hardly occurs to lose the sight of the subject owing to the display outside the angle of view.
