摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery which is low in price and superior in a cycle characteristic, especially under high temperature. SOLUTION: The lithium secondary battery is composed of a positive electrode which contains lithium manganese oxide compound expressed by the composition formula as Li1+x, My, Mn2-x-yO4-z (M is one of the followings, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Co, Ni, Zn, Cu, W, Mg, and Al; 0<=x<0.2, 0<=y<0.5, 0<=z<0.2), and the half band width of the (400) diffraction peak by the powder X ray diffraction method using CuK &alpha; beam is 0.02 &theta; to 0.1 &theta; (&theta; is a diffraction angle), and the form of its first particles is octahedron as a positive electrode active substance, and a negative electrode which contains lithium titanium oxide compound expressed by the composition formula as LiaTibO4, (0.5<=a<=3, 1<=b<=2.5) as a negative electrode active substance.
