PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive deflection yoke for a monochrome TV capable of compensating a horizontal trapezium distortion, using an easy method. SOLUTION: The deflection yoke for a monochrome TV is equipped with one pair each of horizontal deflection coils and vertical deflection coils. The pair of the vertical deflection coils comprise left and right side vertical deflection coils mutually connected in series V1 and V2, resistors R1 and R2 and a semi-fixed resistor VR provided with the fixed parts A, C and the movable part B. While the fixed parts, A, C of the semi-fixed resistor VR are connected to one end of the resistors, R1 and R2 respectively, the other ends, E and F of the resistors, R1 and R2 are connected to one end each of the vertical deflection coils, V1 and V2. The movable part B of the semi-fixed resistor VR is connected to the connection point C of the vertical deflection coils, V1, V2, to transform the current flowing to the left and right vertical deflection coils V1, V2, mutually connected in series. |
