PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, capable of reading an original at optimal light quantity level, without causing lowering of performance, revel a control method of the device and a storage medium. SOLUTION: When prescribed time will not elapse, when a lamp 103 is lit, an end part shading correction processing is performed since drop of light quantity is small and influence to original reading data is hard to appear, and when the prescribed time elapses, a shading correction coefficient is taken again and a normal shading correction processing is performed for optimizing the light quantity level.
