<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data base retrieval system and the retrieval method capable of specifying a retrieval object from the feature information of a document even when retrieval information is insufficient. SOLUTION: In this data base retrieval system, by selecting the sketch display button 6 of a retrieved result table 5 at the time of retrieval using a web browser, the sketch of a page indicating the feature of the document is displayed and a retrieved result is visually assisted. Also, by keeping document identification information 15 for the document retrieved once, the retrieval object is surely retrieved by inputting the document identification information 15 to a document identification information input column 10. Also, for the document for constituting a hierarchized document group provided with meaningful parentage, in order to turn the document present in the lower layer of a specified document to the retrieval object, by holding hierarchy structure definition data 12a for recording a document registration number 11a imparted intrinsic to the document and a hierarchy position as the document identification information 15 and performing a logical operation with the document identification information 16 present in a data base 3, a hierarchy is narrowed.</p> |
