PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timing phase acquisition and initialization setting device that discriminates the timing phase of a digital signal for initial setting of a receiver. SOLUTION: The device is provided with equalizers (302, 303) that process a digital signal, a filter buffer that stores a plurality of equalizer coefficients applied to equalizers and a buffer manager (304). The buffer manager detects a burst message preamble of the digital signal, selects a desired symbol point, calculates a desired angle of the desired symbol point, samples output signals from an in-phase equalizer (302) and a quadrature equalizer (303) to generate a subset of preambles, selects a selected output pair from the subset, calculates an output angle of the selected output pair, obtains an angle difference by comparing the desired angle with the output angle and forms a delay for the in-phase equalizer (302) and the quadrature equalizer (303), on the basis of the angle difference. |
