PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently and economically perform detoxicating decomposing treatment to a warhead member or the surrounding soil contaminated by an arsenic-containing harmful compound or a harmful organic compound for chemical weapons by a simple process in a non-exhausted state. SOLUTION: In a stabiziing treatment method for a harmful organic compound including a stage in which an arsenic-containing harmful organic compound is subjected to decomposing and detoxicating treatment in molten salt, a stage in which the arsenic compound is treated in the molten salt and is recovered as arsenic metal is included before or after the stage in which the harmful organic compound is subjected to decomposing and detoxicating treatment.
