PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily producing a cooked chestnut capable of being eaten as it is, hardly staining a hand or hardly providing sticky feeling even if the cooked chestnut is eaten by the hand, hardly causing breakage by heating, having flavor and taste originally possessed by the chestnut, and having good appearance. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cooked chestnut is characterized in that, when heating and sterilizing the peeled chestnut while storing and sealing the chestnut in a vessel, water is applied on the surface of the peeled chestnut. |
