PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To offer a camera which can be put in focus by an easy method without excessively adding additional members. SOLUTION: This digital camera is equipped with a lens system (5) which forms an image of a subject (10) on a photosensitive surface (7) and a control system which specially has a motor (8) operating for the lens system so as to securely obtain a sharp image of the subject on the photosensitive surface. To obtain the distinctive image of the subject on the photosensitive surface, a 1st high-frequency image filter (18) and a 1st low-frequency image filter (15) are used. Those filters form part of an image compressing digital processing for recording the image, so few additional means are added for automatic focus adjustment for sharpness.
