PURPOSE: A mushroom culture medium composition is provided which contains corn germ meal or CMS and is thus useful for cheaply mass producing high quality mushrooms. CONSTITUTION: The mushroom culture medium composition contains corn germ meal or condensed molasses fermentation solubles(CMS) in an amount of 10 to 50%(v/v), preferably 10 to 20%(v/v). The composition is produced by mixing saw sand and corn germ meal or condensed molasses fermentation solubles(CMS) in the ratio of 9:1 to 5:5, preferably 9:1 to 8:2 and sterilizing the mixture at 121 deg. C for 15 minutes. It can be applied to cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus, Flammulina velutipes, Lentinus edodes and Ganoderma lucidum. |
