<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for treating wastewater is provided to regenerate the water to an optimum condition of permitting the biological degradation of organic materials within the water by directly contacting the water with a molding material originated from non-metallic minerals. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a mineral contacting-separation bath composed of at least one separation tanks to naturally precipitate dirt by adhering soil mineral bacteria contained in the supplied wastewater onto surface of crude non-metallic minerals in each of the tanks; a degradation bath containing at least one non-metallic mineral layer to remove dissolved organic materials by spraying the treated water toward upper side of the mineral layer and fixing the microorganisms onto the non-metallic mineral layer; and an absorption bath containing multi-stage non-metallic mineral molding layers to adsorb and remove micro-solids from the treated water by spraying and contacting the water to the molding layers, and to remove residual organic materials from the water by fixing micro-organisms onto surface of the molding layers.</p> |
