<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing method and a sealing element capable of quickly and easily sealing clearance between a diameter of a different through guide passage and an object inserted into this through guide passage in sealing the through guide passage and imposing no burden on an environment. SOLUTION: In this clearance sealing method for sealing the clearance 4 between the through guide passage 2 arranged in a structural element 1 and the object 3 inserted into at least this one through guide passage 2 by arranging at least one sealing element 5, a thermally melting element 5 including at least one temperature activating expansive medium is used as the sealing element 5, and after filling this thermally melting element 5 in the clearance 4, the element is melted and expanded by adding heat from the outside to be hardened to completely seal the clearance. Bar-shaped thermally melting elements 5 are suitably inserted and filled in large numbers in the clearance 4.</p> |
