PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply excessive power over the rated capacity of a generator from an inverter and stop the operation of the generator when a load factor is small. SOLUTION: The generator 11 supplies power to a load 12 up to the rated capacity. Excessive power over the rated capacity of the generator is supplied from a power system 14 through the inverter 13. When the decrease of the capacity and load factor of the load 12 is detected by a detection unit 24, a control unit 20 opens a generator output switch 23, closes a bypass switch 21, and opens an inverter output switch 22 so that power can be supplied to the load 12 directly from the power system 14. During the switching operation, the inverter 13 is switched between a parallel operation mode and a CVCF operation mode. A time schedule of a parallel operation of the generator 11 and the inverter 13 can be preliminarily set in a time schedule unit 25 to switch the operation according to the time schedule. |
