The machine has a housing with pistons (20-26) rotating about a central housing axis (29). The pistons are formed as reciprocating pistons and are radially moveable. A control mechanism derives the to-and-fro movement of the pistons from their rotational movement. The mechanism consists of a cam part (34) with a control cam having a concave and convex sections. The pistons have a running surface (40) engaging on the control cam.
