PURPOSE: A coupling device for stretching an electrical cable is provided to draw out the cable by a submergible electrical machine, such as a pump or a turbine which is operated in a tank or a shaft and surrounded by water during operation. CONSTITUTION: Cables(6,7) are retained, together with a metallic wire, as a single package extending between an electrical machine(3) and a tank or the beam at the top of a shaft(1). The top coupling parts of the wire and the cables are equipped with adjusting screws, and the wire, and the cables are given a prescribed coupling force by these adjusting screws, which prevents them from being rocked by flowing water.
