INTER-FREQUENCY HANDOFF CONTROL METHOD IN CDMA CELLULAR SYSTEM

PURPOSE: An inter-frequency handoff control method in a CDMA cellular system is provided to rapidly achieve an inter-frequency handoff between a mobile terminal and a neighboring base station and to maintain a good call quality state as the mobile terminal searches for another base station's frequency or transmits searched information to a base station. CONSTITUTION: An inter-frequency handoff control system in a CDMA cellular system consists of a terminal receiving part(100) and a base station transmitting part. The terminal receiving part(100) is composed of an RF receiver(102), digital demodulators(101a-101d), and a frequency synthesizer. The RF receiver(102) selectively receives one among the RF signals transmitted from the base station transmitting part. The digital demodulators(101a-101d) restores the selected RF signal into the original signal. The frequency synthesizer executes frequency synthesis so that the RF receiver(102) can selectively receive one among the RF signals. The base station transmitting part contains digital demodulators, gain controllers, an adder, and an RF transmitter.
