PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain high quality treated water by increasing silica removing efficiency in an electrically desalting device. SOLUTION: In the electrically desalting method, an inorganic carbon concentration in water fed to an electrically desalting device 3 is reduced to <=50 ppb by treating with the inorganic carbon concentration reducing means 1 and 2 mounted on the electric desalting device 3.
