PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the check by rereading requires time when whether recording is correctly executed or not is checked in recording and the problem that the impact vibration is judged to be the abnormality of the recording medium, the increase in the invalid regions on the medium is resulted and the utilization efficiency of a recording medium is deteriorated in a method for discriminating the recording abnormality by the level of the reflected light of a laser from the recording medium in writing. SOLUTION: In the recording action of information, the reflected light of the laser beam cast to execute recording of this information from the recording medium 5 is detected with a photodetector 7 in the recording action of information and the abnormality of the recording is detected together with this information recording action by a defect detecting circuit 12 in recording. Whether the cause for the recording abnormality by a vibration sensor 20 and a vibration detecting circuit 21 is the vibration or not is discriminated by a controller 19. When the abnormality not caused by the vibration is detected, the recording is executed again in another recording region of the optical recording medium 5 and when the abnormality caused by the vibration is detected, the recording is executed again in the same recording region.
