The mixer device has a first mixer (2) providing an IF signal by mixing an input signal (1) with a first carrier signal (3) and a second mixer (7) providing an output signal by mixing the IF signal with a second carrier signal (8), each of the carrier signals provided by a respective signal generator (14,15), using frequencies obtained from the system clock signal and a control signal. An evaluation unit (19) coupled to the first signal generator provides the control signal for the second signal generator, e.g. a controlled digital oscillator.
