PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk capable of effectively preventing the infringement of copyright by correctly executing disk identification without impairing physical format information or disk manufacture information. SOLUTION: This optical disk has a main information region where main data is recorded in a track having wobbles and a control data region and sub- information region on the inner peripheral side of the main information region and is varied in the information structure of the control data region and the sub-information region or the physical format structure. The optical disk is freshly provided with the sub-information region described above, by which the physical format information or disk manufacture information, such as the final address and maximum transfer rate, to execute writing to the sub- information region is recorded and the physical format information or disk manufacture information of the sub-information region is read during reproduction with a DVD reproducing machine, etc. |
