PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an organic EL display device which enables to compensate the light of colors not included or insufficient in the light emitted from a luminous layer, and enables to prevent a color filter from disconnection of wiring caused by the difference in level created on the color filter as well, with high quality and good yield at low cost. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device has a color filter layer, a fluorescence conversion layer, a barrier layer, a hole injection layer and an electron injection layer in this or in the reversed sequence to the above sequence on a substrate, and an organic layer related to the luminescence function between the above electrodes. The fluorescence conversion layer and the color filter layer are formed by vapor deposition method.
