PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the detection for the insertion of a pipe to a normal depth by a worker. SOLUTION: A checker 19 is fastened from radially outside in the state where a pipe P is inserted into a tube fitting body 1 to retain the pipe P in an initial mounting position. The checker 19 is then advanced along the axial direction. When the pipe P is inserted to the normal depth, the checker 19 is guided to a detecting position since a detecting piece 8 never collides to the edge of a locking flange. A locking claw 25 expansively deformed is then elastically returned so as to engagingly lock with a collar part. When the insertion of the pipe P is imperfect, the checker 19 cannot reach the detecting position since the detecting piece 9 collides to the edge of the locking flange 3 to regulate the advance of the checker 19. Accordingly, the engaging locking of the locking claw 25 cannot be performed, from which the half-insertion of the pipe P can be known. |
