PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene encoding a protein involving an amino acid sequence or the like of sequence No.2 in the specification, to provide a recombinant vector containing a DNA or the like having a base sequence of sequence No.1 in the specification or a fragment thereof, to provide the protein involving the amino acid sequence or the like of sequence No.2 in the specification, to provide a method for detecting gene ups characterized by comprising using the DNA or the like having a base sequence of sequence No.1 in the specification or a fragment thereof, and to provide a method for detecting protein USP characterized by comprising using an antibody to the protein involving the amino acid sequence or the like of sequence No.2 in the specification or a fragment thereof. SOLUTION: This gene usp and protein USP encoded by the gene are each a specific factor found in urinary tract pathogenic Escherichia coli, being useful as a marker for diagnosing urinary tract infectious diseases at genetic levels and in an immunological way. |
