PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a dermal elasticity improving agent which exhibits a dermal elasticity improving effect and a skin straining effect, prevents or improves the change in the dermal state, e.g. dermal wrinkles caused by various causes, flabbiness, loss of tension and elasticity, somberness, stains, freckles or the like, effectively and is useful as a medicine or a cosmetic. SOLUTION: This dermal elasticity improving agent or skin straining agent is obtained by including a glyceryl ether derivative represented by the following general formula (I) wherein, R shows an 8-30C alkyl or alkenyl group; X1 and X2 show each H atom, -SO3M1 or -PO3M1M2 (here, M1 and M2 are each identical or different and show H atom, an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal or an ammonia group; however, X1 and X2 are not simultaneously H atoms) as an active ingredient.
