PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejector for performing print recording using an insulating ink while preventing an abnormally high electric field due to a defect of an electrode layer from being generated between adjacent electrodes exposed to ink. SOLUTION: The liquid ejector comprises a plurality of grooves 10 made in the surface of a substrate 3 of piezoelectric material through a side wall, a cover member 9 for closing the upper opening of the grooves 10 through adhesion, and a nozzle 4a provided in correspondence to a plurality of channels formed thereby wherein the side wall is deformed by applying a specified drive voltage to electrodes 11 formed on the opposite wall faces of the side wall to eject insulating liquid from the nozzle 4a. Among the electrodes 11 immersed into the liquid while facing each other through the side wall and generating an electric field between them, the electrodes located closest to each other are covered with an insulation layer.
