PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin molding machine and a molding method capable of molding a resin molded article in a highly efficient manner by using a small- sized and inexpensive split type mold. SOLUTION: A resin molding machine is equipped with a plurality of mold holding parts 7 provided in a rotary drum 4 in the peripheral direction thereof, the molds 8 held to the mold holding parts 7, an injection device 9 for injecting a molten resin in the molds 8 held to the mold holding parts 7, the mold receiving parts 13, 14 arranged in opposed relation to both side surfaces of the rotary drum 4 in a mold opening station S5 opening the molds 8 to take out products 1 to receive the molds 8, mold replacing devices 12 for inserting the molds 8 present in one mold receiving part 13 in the mold holding parts 7 of the rotary drum 4 and discharging the molds 8 in the mold holding parts 7 to the other mold receiving part 14 and mold open/close devices 17, 18 for opening the discharged molds 8 to take out the products 1.
