PURPOSE: Device and method for bound material are provided to promptly and actively bind a box containing products by a binding wire. CONSTITUTION: A bound material banding device comprises a stacking unit(13) placing bound material(90) transferred by a conveyor(15); a binding wire roll(20) supplying a binding wire(23); an elevating unit(30) transferring the binding wire to a lower end of the bound material by being vertically mounted on an entrance(13a) of the stacking unit; a holder(40) catching a front end(23a) of the binding wire; an arm(50) overlapping a middle portion of the bonding wire on the front end of the binding wire; a bonding unit(60) adhering the binding wire by being installed on a lower face of the stacking unit; a cutter(70) cutting a rear side of the adhering unit of the binding wire; and a driving unit driving the elevating unit, the holder, the arm and the cutter. The bound material is promptly combined by the binding wire.
