发明名称 FLUORESCENT MATERIAL COATED WITH RARE-EARTH OXIDE AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
摘要 PURPOSE: A surface-coated fluorescent material useable in field emission display and vacuum fluorescent display is provided for obtaining improved cathode light emission efficiency by coating the material with rare-earth oxides. CONSTITUTION: The rare-earth oxide coated fluorescent material is prepared by a method comprising to prepare a rare-earth alkoxide solution such as the rare-earth isopropoxide in a medium including organic solvent such as toluene and water; to heat the alkoxide solution to hydrolyze the rare-earth alkoxide component to result a rare-earth hydroxide gel; to contact the resultant solution to any uncoated fluorescent materials such as sulfides or oxides to obtain a gel coated fluorescent material; to dry the gel coated fluorescent material and to carry out heat treatment or calcination process of the dried material at about 225-500 deg.C.
