A thermoplastic hot water bottle is injection or blow molded in a recessed mold (1). A printed film (5) carrying a picture is placed in a flat part (2) of the mold so that it is clear of the curved edge (3) of the mold where the final seam is formed. The film (5) is preferably an elastic thermoplastic, screen printed with a solution based, single component ink without hardening additives. An independent claim is also included for a hot water bottle made according to this process.
