PURPOSE: A transferring apparatus is provided to automatically select a handle mode or a shaft by axially pushing the shaft transferring apparatus and to automatically progress to a former mode upon positioning of the shaft transferring apparatus to a neutral position. CONSTITUTION: A shaft transferring apparatus comprises: a shaft transferring rotary switch having a protruded portion(31) on the outer face and a shaft transferring switch(32) for progressing shaft transfer; sensing units(40,41,42,43) of which contact points are switched off when the protruded portion is inserted for detection of shaft selection; and a controller(50) for determining shaft selection based on analysis of signals transmitted from the sensing units, moving the selected shaft upon rotation of the shaft transferring switch and progressing a prior mode if shaft selection is canceled. Upon moving a handle transferring apparatus, shaft selection of a CNC is completed with movement of the shaft transferring apparatus without additional selection of a handle mode or a shaft selection mode. As a prior mode is directly advanced upon returning to a neutral position, work becomes convenient.
