<p>Waterproofing compositions for wood preservative systems are provided comprising compounds of the formula <CHEM> wherein X is hydrogen or <CHEM> Y is substituted or unsubstituted -CH2-(CHOH-CH2-O-)w, substituted or unsubstituted <CHEM> or an enantiomer thereof, or substituted or unsubstituted <CHEM> or an enantiomer thereof; R<3>, R<4> and R<5> independently are a saturated or unsaturated, substituted or unsubstituted, interrupted or uninterrupted C9-C50 group, w is an integer from 1 to 10 and x and y independently are 0, 1 or 2. The composition optionally contains a biocidal effective amount of at least one C1-C20alkyl- or aryl-substituted alkyl, C8-C20alkyl quaternary ammonium composition, a solvent or a combination thereof.</p> |
