PURPOSE: A device for preventing damage of a car body is provided to improve productivity and operation efficiency by preventing the car body from escaping from a hanger when the car body is washed for painting. CONSTITUTION: A device for preventing damage of the car body includes first and second brackets(12,14) fixed at an end of a hanger(4), a rotating section(26) rotatably hinged on the second bracket and having a hinge pin(28) bent vertically, a third link(22) rotatably hinged on the second bracket and having an elongated hole(24) at an end for allowing the hinge pin to be inserted and slide, a second link(20) having an end rotatably hinged on the other end of the third link, a first link(18) having an end rotatably hinged on the other end of the second link and the other end having a support part(16) for supporting a side of the car body.
