PURPOSE: An over-charge detection circuit for lithium-ion battery is provided to lengthen lifespan of the lithium-ion battery by correctly sensing the charged state and preventing fire caused by over-charge. CONSTITUTION: An over-charge detection circuit comprises a current sensing unit(70) for sensing the charging current(IB) flowing into a lithium-ion battery(40) from a constant current and constant voltage circuit(10), modulating the sensed charging current into an output voltage(V01) and outputting the modulated voltage; and a voltage comparing unit(60) for detecting the charged state by comparing the voltage output from the current sensing unit with a reference voltage(VREF), and outputting a signal for controlling voltage supply operation of the constant current and constant voltage circuit.
