A recording paper cassette has a cassette body for accommodating sheets and a paper guide 19 rotatably mounted on the bottom of the body. The guide is located in use in a first state, under paper of a larger size and placed in the cassette, or in a second state, standing up to be in contact with an end part of smaller-sized paper when it is placed in the cassette.
